Welcome to the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America – Central Alabama Chapter.

It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as Executive Director of an organization that has such a meaningful impact on individuals, families, and communities affected by sickle cell disease throughout Central Alabama.

At SCDAA–CA, we are committed to enhancing quality of life through education, advocacy, counseling, community awareness, support services, and partnerships that empower those living with sickle cell disease and trait. Our work is rooted in compassion, dignity, equity, and the belief that every individual deserves access to information, support, and quality care.

Building upon the longstanding work and community impact of SCDAA-CA, we remain focused on strengthening community engagement, increasing awareness, expanding partnerships, and improving access to resources and services across our 13 county service area. We also recognize the importance of listening to the voices and experiences of those directly impacted by sickle cell disease as we shape programs and initiatives for the future.

I am excited about the opportunities ahead and grateful for the dedication of our staff, board members, volunteers, healthcare partners, community organizations, advocates, donors, and supporters who help make this mission possible.
